Blessed is the one…whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.  That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither — whatever they do prospers. Psalm 1:1-3

This verse has meant a lot to me over the years.  For me, it is both a promise and a command.  The promise of full life, security, and prosperity.  The command?  Delight in the law or character of God, giving Him first place in my life.  This is how I strive to live my life.  The posts in this blog are glimpses of this everyday life, the earthly and the heavenly.

I loved your first post. I look back at my marriage and see a similar struggle. Since I only worked for 9 years, but am married for 29 I think that has been my “work”. And I fought it, tried to control it, and then learned of God’s plan. Still longer until I accepted His plan, and am now actually trying to work God’s plan. So now I am finally rolling in the waves!
